Beyond Better Foods owned ice cream brand Enlightened has returned with its limited edition Barista Collection in time for Autumn. In fitting with its limited-time only seasonal release, the flavours include Pumpkin Spice Latte and White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha.
The Barista Collection was released for the first time last year and following its success has since returned this September. The US ice cream brand has intended to ‘transform cult-classic seasonal coffee drinks into feel-good ice cream’ and evoke the warm, nostalgic feelings of the season.
Inspired by the Autumn drinks, Pumpkin Spice Latte features pumpkin spice ice cream swirled with espresso, while White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha combines coffee ice cream with a chocolate mint swirl and white chocolate chips. Claiming to be a ‘better-for-you’ ice cream set, the duo contains 70 and 90 calories per serving respectively. The pints are also low in sugar and high in protein and fibre.
Enlightened’s CEO and founder Michael Shoretz said: “We introduced the Barista Collection for the first time last year, and those flavours quickly became some of our best-selling and most-requested pints through the season.
“We’re eager to bring Pumpkin Spice Latte and White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha back, and, this year, fans also have the option to order the collection directly to their doorstep through our new website.”
Enlightened is the first and largest brand within Beyond Better Foods, a New York City-based company founded by Michael Shoretz. The Enlightened brand has expanded its portfolio over the last year with the launch of ketogenic-friendly ice cream products with flavours such as butter pecan and red velvet, its release of Bakeshop Collection, a new line inspired by oven-fresh treats and the introduction of dairy-free ice cream bars.
The Barista Collection pints are available until the end of 2019 across the US.
