Digitally-based flexible packaging company ePac Flexible Packaging has announced plans to open a full-service sales and manufacturing plant in Kansas City, Missouri.
ePac has already begun accepting orders, with the company’s other US locations fulfilling them until the facility starts operating.
ePac Kansas City’s general manager, Randy Mackey, said: “We’re excited to be able to bring ePac’s unique service model to local brands that need professional packaging to grow. As with the thousands of ePac clients around the world, our customers will benefit from delivery times of five to 15 business days and low minimum order quantities.”
ePac’s CEO, Jack Knott, added: “ePac Kansas City will become our 20th plant to become operational in locations across the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. In each market we see a similar dynamic unfold – small and medium-sized businesses are growing at double digits, and our partnerships with them can and do help accelerate their growth.”
The company will serve brands of all sizes and will open in early 2022.
In April, Amcor announced an investment in ePac of around $10m to $15 million.
