Ferrero North America has announced plans to open a 45,000-square-foot facility in Chicago’s Marshall Field and Company building.
The new site, which will occupy the building’s eight and ninth floors, is expected to employ about 170 workers. The innovation centre will feature a new research and development (R&D) lab that will develop Ferrero’s new confectionery and packaged foods products.
Todd Siwak, president, and chief business officer of Ferrero North America, said: “Our goal for this space is to reflect Ferrero’s unique heritage and provide an opportunity to create greater synergies among our teams. This new space will foster the collaboration, creativity and culture that Ferrero is known for around the world. I am proud of our growing footprint in Illinois and strongly believe that this innovation centre will propel our teams forward to become leaders in the sweet packaged foods category.”
The facility is expected to be completed by spring 2023.
