Folklore Distillery has released a limited-edition gin to raise funds for the mental health charities Mind and Blurt Foundation.
Essentially Amazing Thank You Gin features notes of orange, lemon, cardamom, coriander and juniper, and joins the company’s range of Folklore Society Gins.
The bottle has been created in collaboration with Leeds art collective In Good Company (IGC) and illustrator Rebecca Strickson, who designed the label as part of the IGC ‘Posters for the People’ campaign. This initiative, which was created to thank key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic, took over billboards in UK cities with colourful art.
Leeds-based Folklore Distillery says that the name of its charity gin is a ‘nod to frontline workers’.
“The mental health impact of Covid-19 is being felt by many and we wanted to show our support and thanks to those charities that are so critical in helping people in the aftermath of such a challenging time,” said Folklore Society Gin co-founder, Nolan Kane.
“IGC’s ‘Posters for The People’ campaign kept us all inspired through some very testing months and its mission echoes the ethos and values of Folklore Distillery.
“We created our gin to showcase local talent and businesses through collaboration so when it came to choosing a partner for our charity bottle, IGC was the perfect choice for us.”
The limited-edition gin is available through independent retailers as well as select online partners.
