French fruit producer Innatis acquires Domaine des Coteaux

French fruit company Innatis has acquired stone fruit producer Domaine des Coteaux for an undisclosed sum.

Since its founding in the 1950s, Innatis has diversified from its core business of producing, packaging and marketing apples into the wider fruit trade in France and abroad.

Domaine des Coteaux is a producer of peaches and nectarines, as well as apricots, cherries and kiwis, and reportedly sells nearly 13,000 tons of fruit per year. The acquisition deal enables Innatis to expand its range and diversify into stone summer fruits.

Domaine des Coteaux CEO Nathalie Bonnet will continue in her role, while also joining Innatis’s strategic board.

Bonnet said: “I am delighted to team up with Innatis. We share the same values and make it a priority to produce healthy, quality fruits while being attentive to the environment.

“Renewal is at the heart of our common approach and this collaboration will enable us to join forces in modernising and perpetuating our crops.”

In addition, Innatis has ‘opened its capital’ to Unigrains, an agri-food investor that will support Innatis in new growth projects.
