FrieslandCampina Ingredients is being relaunched as a new organisation that incorporates its four individual operating companies.
Infant formula company Domo, food and beverage ingredients maker Kievit, dairy proteins ingredient producer DMV and animal nutrition brand Nutrifeed have been reorganised into four segments: Early Life Nutrition, Adult Nutrition, Food & Beverages and Animal Nutrition.
The move sees FrieslandCampina Ingredients provide its solutions as one unified brand. While keeping dairy at its core, the company aims to explore the future growth potential in gut health offerings, protein benefits and personalised nutrition.
The firm, a subsidiary of Dutch dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina, has five regional offices to serve customers worldwide and is led by its president, Kathy Fortmann.
Kathy Fortmann, president of FrieslandCampina Ingredients.
“The introduction of FrieslandCampina Ingredients builds on the company’s strong history, which started in 1871 when farmers joined forces in local cooperative dairy factories,” said Fortmann.
“Today, we join forces again under one shared commitment: all our market segments are now serving our customers with a unified offering in high-quality nutritional ingredients and solutions for a variety of industries, and for all stages of life.”
FrieslandCampina Ingredients said its Early Life Nutrition segment builds on a legacy of more than 75 years of producing ingredients such as galacto-oligosaccharides, human milk oligosaccharides and hydrolysates.
The Adult Nutrition unit includes a portfolio of nutritional dairy protein ingredients and serves the areas of performance, active and medical nutrition.
The Food & Beverages unit offers ingredient solutions for areas such as the coffee, tea, pastry, decoration, desserts, ice cream, soups and sauces, as well as a portfolio of functional dairy protein ingredients.
FrieslandCampina Ingredients reported combined sales of €1.7 billion euros last year and employs 3,250 people globally.
The new segments operate facilities worldwide, with regional sales offices in the Netherlands, US, Singapore, China and Brazil.
