Gallery: A selection of images from Health Ingredients Europe

This is a small selection of sights and innovations showcased at Health Ingredients Europe 2018 in Frankfurt, the annual event for the functional food and health ingredients segments, which took place last week.

Over 100 exhibitors presented their latest innovations at this year’s show, setting a new exhibitor record for manufacturers of natural and organic ingredients at the show.

According to a survey conducted by Mintel last year, around 70% of interviewed consumers preferred foods containing natural ingredients, and the strong numbers of exhibitors catering to this demand showed that the industry is responding strongly to this trend.

Key trends for exhibitors at this year’s show included clean label solutions, healthy ageing, sports nutrition, responding to the needs of increasingly active consumer and more.
