Glanbia Nutritionals has invested €1.4 million in its R&D facility in Kilkenny, Ireland.
The facility will house state-of-the-art technology and equipment to support ingredient solutions for cheese, dairy products, bars, snacks, beverages, baked goods and more, for the European food and beverage industry.
The site aims to encourage face-to-face customer interaction, accelerate the development process and deliver efficient prototypes.
The deal will also support increased customer collaboration by investing in new equipment, including bar and beverage processing technology.
Glanbia Nutritionals’ CEO, Brian Phelan, said: “This new, enhanced R&D facility will allow our teams to better deliver innovative solutions to our EMEA-based food and beverage, lifestyle and nutrition brand customers as a key part of our market strategy in the region. It is another fundamental element of our global investment strategy in R&D facilities, as we bring our unique solutions capability to our regional and global customers.”
Loren Ward, Glanbia Nutritionals’ chief R&D officer, added: “The new research facility will provide a collaborative environment with our customers and accelerate prototype development. It will help deliver a competitive advantage to our customers in launching new products, aligned with market trends and consumer demand.”
