Colouring solutions firm GNT Group has announced an initial investment of $30 million in a new facility in Gaston Country, North Carolina.
GNT is the manufacturer of food colouring brand Exberry and uses concentrates to create food colouring solutions.
The 49-acre facility will expand the company’s operations in North America and benefit its customers in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Hendrik Hoeck, CEO at GNT Group, said: “As the global leader of colouring food, we see consistent demand for our colours as the consumption of products that are formulated with Exberry continues to grow. Part of our strategic growth plan is a multiple phase expansion in North America.”
He continued: “I am happy to announce the completion of the initial phase with our warehouse commissioning on 15 October 2021. This will bring increased capacity, supply-chain efficiency and improved control of inventory.”
The company also plans to establish a “Technical and Culinary Experience Center”, which is scheduled to open in August of next year.
In 2019, GNT Group developed a new range of Exberry liquid and powdered red food colourings that are free from added sugar.
