GrubMarket acquires Best Fresh Produce

GrubMarket has acquired produce supplier, Best Fresh Produce, as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the Los Angeles area.

Founded in 2007, Best Fresh Produce supplies fresh fruit and vegetables to customers in California, the midwest, the east coast and other metropolitan areas around the US. The Los Angeles-based company is also a supplier of dates nationwide.

The financial terms of the transaction, which marks GrubMarket’s fifth acquisition in the Los Angeles area, have not been disclosed.

GrubMarket says that Best Fresh Produce will now be able to use its proprietary WholesaleWare software suite, which offers tools for financial and inventory management, and more.

Best Fresh Produce will continue to be managed by its current leadership team under the new ownership.

Earlier this year, GrubMarket acquired meat purveyor Grand Food in a bid to strengthen and diversify its position as a major protein provider in the San Francisco Bay Area.
