Halo Top has introduced a new keto-friendly ice cream range that features ultra-filtered skim milk to offer a lower-calorie alternative to regular ice cream.
The Keto Series is available in seven flavours in the US: peanut butter chocolate, caramel butter pecan, chocolate cheesecake, jelly donut, berry swirl, banana cream pie and white chocolaty macadamia nut.
Each variant has net carbs ranging from 5g to 10g and calories from 410 to 630 per US pint.
“Our brand is focused on making delicious dessert that everyone can feel good about eating, and these new flavours allow us to do that for our fans looking to limit their sugar intake,” said Meg Graeff, senior brand manager, Halo Top.
“Halo Top is proud to roll out these seven delicious new flavours for our Keto Series, and we can’t wait for our fans to try them all.”
Founded in 2011, Halo Top was acquired last year by US ice cream manufacturer Wells Enterprises.
Halo Top’s collection includes 40 ice cream flavours. Last October, the brand released its Platinum Series, which it said contains “all of the decadence, indulgence, and sweet chunks and swirls of traditional ice cream”, but with “significantly” fewer calories.
