The Hershey Company has introduced a new Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bar with Reese’s Pieces candy to celebrate the “two iconic chocolate franchises”.
On sale in the US as of November 2018, the bar will be available in a 1.55oz variant at $0.99 and king size 2.55oz for $1.69.
Hershey’s senior brand manager Kriston Ohm said: “The mashup between Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and Reese’s Pieces candy is an ultimate celebration of the top two iconic chocolate franchises that will melt your heart to pieces for a once-in-a-lifetime epic treat.”
The new candy bar also received an endorsement from recently engaged couple Jenny Ries and Craig Hirschey (pronounced like Reese and Hershey).
To celebrate the launch, Hershey collaborated with recently engaged couple Jenny Ries and Craig Hirschey (pronounced like Reese and Hershey).
The Hershey’s and Reese’s brands learned of the engagement and invited the couple to a photoshoot alongside the Hershey’s and Reese’s mascots.
Jenny Ries said: “This is a match made in chocolate heaven. We’re excited our favourite brands are helping us celebrate, especially since we all have matching sweet names. Craig and I can’t thank Hershey’s and Reese’s enough for throwing us the sweetest engagement celebrations.”
Last year Hershey launched new Reese’s Outrageous chocolate bars with peanut butter and caramel to coincide with Halloween.
