US ‘clean-ingredient’ food brand The New Primal has secured a $15 million investment from private equity firm Manna Tree.
The New Primal launched in 2012 as a meat snack brand offering grass-fed beef jerky. The company’s portfolio has since expanded to include seasonings, dressings and condiments, as well as additional meat-based offerings.
Manna Tree was the sole investor in The New Primal’s Series B funding round and says that the capital will support recruitment and help the brand to boost its marketing reach.
With the support of Manna Tree, The New Primal also aims to expand its distribution.
