Kellogg has partnered with House Wine to introduce a limited-edition package combining Cheez-It crackers with a bottle of red wine.
Branded as “the ultimate summer duo”, the product is one-part box of Original Cheez-It, one-part Original Red Blend box of House Wine, offered in a convenient package.
“We are thrilled to partner with House Wine to combine their expertise and America’s favourite 100% real cheese snack into one portable box,” said Jeff Delonis, senior marketing director for Kellogg’s US snacks division.
“Many of our fans were already exploring pairing different wines with Cheez-It. Just like wine and cheese, you can pair the real cheese inside each Cheez-It flavour with the perfect wine complement and find a pair to enjoy all summer long.”
The House Wine & Cheez-It box has gone on sale in the US for $25.
Last year, Kellogg boosted its Cheez-It range in the US with the introduction of Snap’d, a thin and crispy snack made with real cheese and available in four flavours: double cheese, cheddar sour cream and onion, white cheddar and bacon, and jalapeño jack.
In April, Kellogg agreed to offload its cookies business and a range of fruit and fruit-flavoured snacks, pie crusts, and ice cream cone brands to Ferrero for approximately $1.3 billion.
