Kellogg’s has expanded its W.K Kellogg by Kids range with new ‘healthy’ snacks bars made with real fruit and vegetables.
The W.K Kellogg by Kids range first launched in the UK in 2020 with multigrain shapes cereal that contains fruit and vegetables. Created by kids for kids, the bars have been developed in collaborative workshops with 2,000 children and parents, as part of Kellogg’s drive to encourage families to make healthier choices.
Kellogg’s new snack bars are made with fruit, vegetables and wholegrains and come in two flavours: orange & carrot and strawberry, raspberry & beetroot. Each bar contains less than 100 calories, no added sugar, no artificial colours or flavours and is a source of fibre.
Catriona Campbell-Voegt, nutritionist and Kellogg’s wellbeing lead in the UK, said: ‘‘The kids’ market for products that are both tasty and nutritious has been mostly untapped, so we’re thrilled to be able to meet demand by expanding our W.K Kellogg by Kids range and give parents the option to buy snacks they’re confident their children will enjoy while not having to worry about them being unhealthy.’’
The new bars are currently available in Morrisons stores across the UK and will roll out to other retailers in the coming months. A pack of five bars retails for £2.49.
