US bone broth brand Kettle & Fire has launched its first broth made using bones sourced exclusively from regenerative farms.
The new line comes in beef and chicken varieties and is made with only organic ingredients and no artificial ingredients, preservatives or flavours.
The two new offerings are made with 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef bones and pasture-raised, heirloom chicken bones.
Like the rest of its portfolio, the bones are slow-simmered for over 14 hours to create nutrient-rich broths that Kettle & Fire claims are excellent sources of collagen, protein and other key vitamins.
With its latest launch, the brand aims to create a better and more sustainable food system by working closely with suppliers and organisations to improve farming and ranching practices.
“It’s not enough to be good stewards to our bodies, as a company and as individuals we also need to be good stewards of our land,” says Justin Mares, founder and CEO of Kettle & Fire.
“By supporting those who are working to rehabilitate the health of our soil, we hope to build consumer demand for more sustainably produced products and help scale the adoption of regenerative practices across our industry.”
In order to source their bones, Kettle & Fire partnered with family farms committed to regenerative practices including Cooks Venture, a poultry farm in Northwest Arkansas.
Matt Wadiak, CEO and founder of Cooks Venture, added: “We’re paving the way to a reimagined meat industry by both building systems that develop soil fertility and working with brands like Kettle & Fire who are committed to doing right by their customers and our country’s farmers.”
The new beef and chicken bone broths are available now online and at select retailers nationwide for $8.99.
In 2018, Kettle & Fire raised $8 million through a Series A funding round.
