Magners Irish Cider has introduced Magners Rosé, a light blush apple cider launched on the back of consumer demand for pink gin and rosé wine. Rosé cider has proved popular in other parts of the world, in particular the U.S., where rosé cider counts for 13% of all cider.
Available in the on-trade in Scotland from June and available in England and Wales from July, Magners Rosé is designed to accompany brunch, lunch and casual dining alike, and comes in a 330ml bottle at 4% ABV. New bespoke stemless glassware has been created for Magners Rosé, which as always, should be served over-ice. To support awareness with the on-trade, POS kits will be available which include bespoke bar runners, table talkers and bar struts.
Duncan Frew, commercial and marketing director at C&C said: “The introduction of Magners Rosé will certainly pique the interest of consumers across the UK. Tapping into the global trend for pink gin and rosé wine, its light blush colour, eye catching POS and bespoke glassware is sure to stand out both behind the bar and in hand. With the growth of rosé cider elsewhere around the world, we’re confident that this delicious tasting Magners Rosé, will hold the same appeal.”
