Manchester Gin creator launches its first ever rum

UK-based Spirit of Manchester Distillery has expanded its alcohol portfolio with the introduction of its first rum, One-Eyed Rebel.

With a 40% ABV, One-Eyed Rebel is a spiced botanical rum, created with fiery ginger spice and cassia.

The producer of Manchester Gin and Manchester Spirit Vodka says its “bold spiced rum is rebelling against the average supermarket spirits with a quality flavour and stand-out design”.

Seb Heeley, master distiller at Spirit of Manchester Distillery, said: “We’ve always loved rum; it’s our second favourite spirit and we’ve been working non-stop for the last year to use everything we’ve learnt in gin distillation to create the perfect spiced rum.

“With Manchester Gin, we’ve gone on a real journey, experimenting with how to get the most out of flavours. We’re so proud to be releasing our British botanical rum, distilled and crafted in our distillery in the heart of Manchester.”

One-Eyed Rebel will be available to purchase direct from the Spirit of Manchester Distillery and throughout retailers nationwide for an RRP of £28 per 70cl bottle.
