Müller has launched Müller Rice Protein in two varieties, which it says contains more than double the protein content than its existing rice pudding range.
The new product marks Müller Rice’s first new product development in over three years.
Müller Rice Protein is available in both chocolate and vanilla variants. Each 180g pot contains 14g of protein and is also low in fat.
The dairy company aims to target consumers who are looking for high protein products that keep them fuller for longer.
“When we looked at the data behind the protein trend, it became clear that almost a third of high protein shoppers were looking for something which keeps them fuller for longer, but there are limited choices on the market,” said Michael Inpong, strategy and marketing director at Müller yogurt and desserts.
“By introducing a hunger filler option like Müller Rice Protein, there is clear potential for category growth. Shoppers are looking for a product which meets their needs, but they are also looking for well-known and trusted brands. So as the nation’s favourite dairy brand, we’re well placed to meet this opportunity.”
The new Müller Rice Protein line will be available to buy in Morrison stores from 22 March.
Earlier this month, the brand collaborated with British sprinter Dina Asher-Smith to launch Müller Corner Creations.
