US Nature’s One has introduced a new organic plant-based toddler formula made of pea protein, marking a first for the baby formula industry.
The company’s latest product adds to its portfolio of plant-based formula which already included soy formula.
With its new launch, Nature’s One aims to target families wishing to avoid soy, dairy, goat milk and other food sensitives common in early childhood.
According to the infant formula manufacturer, pea protein is also substantially lower in phytoestrogens which some believe may be disruptive during the first developmental years of life.
Suitable for one year and above toddlers, the formula is made with non-GMO ingredients, is gluten free and contains fatty acids to promote brain structure and eye acuity.
Along with its other products, Nature’s One pea protein formula uses ingredients that are responsibly sourced to avoid harmful substances such as pesticides and is certified organic DHA and ARA.
Founder of Nature’s One Jay Highman said: “Our organic formulas are unique for quality and purity. The Baby’s Only Organic brand is recognized by Pure Market with their highest “Purity Award” classification.
“Nature’s One has a small footprint compared to the big pharma brands who tend to be reckless with organic integrity and standards. I am proud of the work my team does every day helping everyone’s child enjoy a better start for life.”
Plant-Based Pea Protein Baby’s Only Organic Toddler Formula is available online for an RRP of $14.99 per 12.7 oz can.
