This decision follows an ongoing review, during which it was concluded that the sale to Lomond Hills Water is the best option to assure the future of the business.
Commenting on the announcement, Nestlé Waters Powwow UK MD, Julian Barrett, said: “In the past few years, we’ve made significant steps in improving the efficiency of the business, but have decided that, at this time, the sale to Lomond Hills Water is the best option.’’
Robert Kitley, Lomond Hills Water Group CEO, added: “We’re delighted with this acquisition, as we have plans for an exciting growth strategy for the business, which we look forward to sharing with employees over the coming months.”
The move sees all 460 Nestlé Waters Powwow employees transferring to the new owner.
The deal is specific to Nestlé Waters UK’s water cooler operation and doesn’t affect Nestlé Waters’ other activities in the UK or elsewhere.
