Kinnerton has launched a new Fairtrade chocolate brand called Forest of Hope into the UK, which aims to raise awareness of the rainforest with its chocolate eggs.
Forest of Hope’s first product launch is a range of nine milk chocolate surprise eggs, which come with challenge cards and activities. The eggs contain 90 calories per portion and are also nut-free.
Each egg will open to reveal a surprise animal which lives in the Gola rainforest. The box also contains over 30 challenge cards to collect, activity games and educational facts to enable children to learn more about the animals that live in the forest.
The Kinnerton-owned children’s brand is Fairtrade accredited, putting sustainability at its core as it aims to educate children on how to live more responsibly.
Tara Stevens, brand manager, said: “We are so excited to launch Forest of Hope, bringing something new and exciting to the children’s confectionery market, whilst also creating a more hopeful future for the planet that appeals to the new generation.
“Forest of Hope is forest friendly, fair to farmers and fun for families. We are so proud to have created a plastic-free, delicious chocolate product, that delivers innovation and education while also supporting cocoa farmers in Sierra Leone.”
Forest of Hope milk chocolate surprise eggs are available to purchase in Co-op stores across the UK for an RRP of £0.85.
