Pernod Ricard’s stand-alone gin brand The Gin Hub has confirmed its purchase of Italian gin brand Malfy. The Gin Hub claims the resultant increased portfolio breadth will drive growth in the Super-Premium Gin category.
Flavoured Gin is a rapidly growing market sector, representing more than 40% of Premium+ Gin growth. The Gin Hub hopes to leverage Malfy’s brand positioning and its Italian provenance to propel this growth further.
Louise Ryan, managing director at The Gin Hub, says: “Malfy already has strong growth momentum, and complements our existing portfolio of International brands, but what’s really exciting for us is its growth potential within existing markets and through further geographic expansion.”
Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, Malfy Gin continues to use traditional Italian distilling methods and local botanicals, married with Monviso Water from Crissolo Spring, said to be the highest and purest spring water in Italy.
Currently comprising four flavoured gins: Malfy con Limone, Malfy con Arancia (orange), Malfy Gin Rosa and Malfy Originales, the Malfy range is currently available in more than 30 markets worldwide.
