Yoplait’s Petits Filous brand is expanding its Mess Free drinkable yogurt portfolio with the introduction of a no-added-sugar option.
The new offering comes in two flavours, raspberry & apple and banana & apricot, containing 4.3g and 4.6g of naturally occurring sugar, respectively.
With an RRP of £2.00 per four-pack, Petits Filous Mess Free No Added Sugar is a source of calcium and vitamin D.
Meanwhile, the brand is also adding to its on-the-go offering by launching Mess Free in a single format.
As with the no-added-sugar products, Petits Filous Mess Free Single is due to hit UK shelves this July and has an RRP of £0.65 per 100g.
Joanna Goodman, head of marketing, yogurt (Northern Europe) at General Mills, said: “We are on a mission to help parents make smarter snack choices for their little ones, and our new No Added Sugar variant does just that. Our Mess Free range is the perfect addition to any lunchbox.”
She continued: “With more families expected to be outdoors and ‘staycationing’ this summer, Petits Filous Mess Free singles offer a fantastic convenient option for any family trip. The single portable bottle lasts up to eight hours out of the fridge so that kids can enjoy the great taste and all the goodness of Petits Filous wherever they go.”
Earlier this year, General Mills agreed to sell its 51% controlling stake in Yoplait’s European operations to Sodiaal, in exchange for full ownership of the Canadian Yoplait business.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2021, subject to regulatory conditions.
