Philips has released a new espresso coffee machine line as a response to consumer demands for drinks made from freshly ground coffee beans at home.
Called Philips Espresso, the range prepares five beverages: coffee, espresso, americano, cappuccino and latte macchiato.
For a more personalised experience, aroma strength and quantity of both coffee and milk can be adjusted with the MyCoffee Choice feature.
Meanwhile, LatteGo technology is said to create smooth milk foam and leave no milk residue after every cup.
Philips said LatteGo, which is available for select models, is “easy to set up and can be cleaned in as little as 15 seconds for effortless froth to top milk-based beverages”.
Lesley McIntosh, director of domestic appliances for Philips Personal Health North America, said: “There is a growing desire among coffee lovers for quality beverages made from freshly ground beans at home.
“Philips’ new portfolio of automatic espresso machines is specially designed to craft five favourite café-style drinks. Using unique LatteGo technology to provide delicious milk froth and the easiest clean-up ever, users experience hassle-free, exquisite taste.”
Philips’ AquaClean filter is said to deliver clear water and prevent the need to descale for up to 5,000 cups of coffee.
Various Philips Espresso machine models are now available, starting at a suggested retail price of $549.
