Pouch packing machine manufacturer Volpak names Alain Zijlstra as CEO

Automated packaging solutions company Volpak has appointed Alain Zijlstra as CEO, effective immediately.

Volpak manufactures horizontal form-fill-seal solutions for pouch-type packaging, suitable for applications including consumer goods and pharmaceutical products.

The company is part of Coesia, a group of 21 industrial and packaging solutions firms, covering fields ranging from tobacco processing equipment to toiletry filling machinery.

Zijlstra, originally from the Netherlands, has ‘over 25 years of professional industrial experience’, of which ten years have been spent in Spain where Volpak is headquartered.

He has previously served as CEO of packaging company Emsur and fastening solutions provider Velcro Companies, where he occupied the position of CEO and president global for two years.

Volpak says Zijlstra will continue to build on the company’s ‘strong foundation and excellent product portfolio’.
