UK snack brand Propercorn has been rebranded as Proper as it releases a new lentil chip range called Properchips.
The launch sees the brand move outside of popcorn for the first time as it responds to consumer demands for healthier snacking options.
Properchips launches into UK stores this month in four flavours: barbecue, sweet sriracha chilli, sea salt, and sour cream and chive.
The vegan collection uses natural seasonings and contains under 100 calories per serving. Proper said it is also looking to capitalise on the popularity of pre-dinner snacking.
Proper co-founder Cassandra Stavrou said: “Properchips marks an incredibly exciting new era for Proper and catapults us from leading premium popcorn maker to big player in better for you.
Properchips are going on sale in 20g bags with a recommended retail price of £0.80 and 80g sharing bags for £1.99.
“Properchips was created for the next generation of snacker, whose expectations on great flavour and health are higher than ever. There’s nothing on the market that’s ticking these boxes whilst really exciting shoppers, so we have no doubt that Properchips will enjoy the same success that our popcorn continues to.”
Properchips are going on sale in the UK this June in 20g bags with a recommended retail price of £0.80 and 80g sharing bags for £1.99.
Last year, the brand redesigned the packaging of its entire popcorn range to increase shelf appeal and also launched a chocolate-flavoured popcorn.
