Rosé brand Mirabeau has expanded into the spirits category with the launch of a new pink gin.
Mirabeau Rosé Gin is made with grape alcohol extracted during the dealcoholisation process producing Mirabeau’s new lower alcohol rosé, Forever Summer.
The 43% ABV spirit features juniper as the dominant flavour alongside ingredients such as orris root, angelica root, coriander seed, rose petals, lavender and jasmine.
According to Mirabeau, the flavours come from traditional distillation with no need for sugary additions.
In a statement, the brand said: “The various components bring a softness to a classic core, making this gin round enough to be sipped alone. Mirabeau suggests adding a dry vermouth for the perfect Martini or topping with your favourite tonic.”
Mirabeau Rosé Gin is launching exclusively at Waitrose & Partners this month with a retail price of £35.
Mirabeau, which produces a range of rosé wines, was founded by British winemakers Stephen and Jeany Cronk.
