UK-based Rollagranola has launched a range of seven nut- and seed-based granola products, each of which contains no refined sugars.
Suitable for either vegan, gluten-free or paleo diets, the line is available in seven variants: zesty caveman, cool raspberry, caveman’s dream, awesome almond, healthy hazelnut, California walnut, and pecan maple twist.
Inspired by a visit to America, Rollagranola started selling on local British market stalls four years ago. Following an initial investment of more than £1 million, the brand now sells around 3,000 packs of granola per week and has doubled its turnover every year for the past three years.
The start-up has achieved its first nationwide listings in Ocado and Planet Organic, with 250 independent shops across the UK stocking the products.
Rollagranola founder and managing director Robin Longden said: “From day one we have been listening to our customers, building insight and a rapport by combining a mix of direct interaction and market research. It is this commitment that has allowed us to create a product people love to eat at any time, and anywhere.”
He added: “Our ultimate aim is to become the go-to granola brand in the UK within the next two years. We’ve increased our team size to cover sales and increased production which will remain in our home town of Hitchin.”
Having recently invested in below-the-line PR activity to help bolster national awareness in consumer and trade press, the brand has begun crowdfunding to support a major advertising campaign.
Each variant in the new granola range is available in the UK with a recommended retail price of £5.25.
