Sabrosura Foods, a portfolio company of Centre Partners, has acquired US queso dip maker Pancho’s Mexican Foods for an undisclosed sum.
Pancho’s will join Sabrosura Foods’ existing brands, which include: El Viajero, La Morenita, Reynaldo’s and Bio Salud.
Sabrosura Foods is a manufacturer of Hispanic foods, including cheeses, desserts, meats, spices and other related products under its brands. This latest acquisition will enhance the company’s position in the queso dip category.
Founded in 1956, Pancho’s can today be found in over 1,200 stores across the US. The brand’s products contain no artificial fillers and flavours.
“Sabrosura Foods is thrilled to acquire Pancho’s, further building our portfolio of Hispanic cheese products available in stores nationwide. A key pillar of Sabrosura Foods’ growth strategy has always been focused on acquiring complementary product capabilities,” said Jeff Caswell, CEO of Sabrosura Foods. “We are…eager to introduce Pancho’s queso dip to even more consumers across the fast-growing snacking category.”
