Simply Good Foods’ Quest Nutrition brand has released three new low-sugar candy products in the US.
The new Quest Candy Bites and Quest Candy Bar products aim to offer indulgent treats to satisfy consumer cravings, without the associated high sugar content.
Quest Candy bites are available in two flavours – Gooey Caramel with Peanuts and Fudgey Brownie with Almonds – while the new Quest Candy Bar is available in one flavour: Gooey Caramel with Peanuts.
Both Candy Bites flavours feature less than 1g of sugar, 5g of protein, and 1g of net carbs, while the Candy Bar flavour features 1g of sugar, 12g of protein, and 3g of net carbs.
Linda Zink, chief marketing officer for the Quest brand at Simply Good Foods, said: “We are excited to launch Quest Candy Bites and Candy Bar, offering consumers the macros they are looking for, in a delicious bite-sized treat.
“US chocolate buyers are looking for mini-sized chocolate bars and our goal is to help them satisfy their cravings without all the sugar and carbs, and never compromising on taste. Now more than ever, consumers are focusing on nutrition and wellness, but they still want that special treat or pick-me-up snack to get through the day.”
Quest Candy Bites are available in boxes of eight from retailers including Target, Tops Markets and Hyvee. Meanwhile, Quest Candy Bars are available in single bars and boxes of 12 from retailers including 7-Eleven, Vitamin Shoppe and GNC.
