US weight loss brand SlimFast has launched a new product line in the US that aims to bring convenience to consumers following the keto diet.
Called SlimFast Keto, the range consists of two meal replacement shake mixes (fudge brownie batter and vanilla cake batter), two meal replacement bars (whipped peanut butter and whipped triple chocolate), peanut butter cup fat bomb snacks, unsweetened keto coffee creamer and MCT oil. Meanwhile, SlimFast Keto test strips allow consumers to track their results.
SlimFast said the range provides dieters everything they need to make the keto diet easy, both at home and on the go.
Each bar, shake and fat bomb in the line is said to be made with a balanced amount of high-fat, low-carb, keto-compatible ingredients, including grass-fed butter, coconut oil, MCTs, and protein from whey and collagen.
SlimFast president Doug Reader said: “With new SlimFast Keto, we are giving American dieters what they told us they wanted for 2019 – they want a quick, easy and super-convenient way to follow the ketogenic diet.”
Last October Glanbia announced it acquired SlimFast from Kainos Capital for $350 million, a deal which also includes SlimFast’s sister company HNS.
Headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, SlimFast offers products such as sweet and savoury snacks, iced coffee, and meal replacement shakes and smoothies. In 2017, the brand delivered $212 million of net sales.
