This is another new franchise model for Soho, building on the in-store format at Arndale, Manchester, which opened in 2010.
“Our most recent franchise partner, Butlins is an exciting development for us,” said Penny Manuel, director of Soho Coffee Co. “They are a dynamic partner and enduring leading player in the UK leisure market. We will roll out two new stores at Minehead and Skegness this year with a third at Bognor Regis planned for early 2012.
“This association will give new exposure to the Soho brand while offering the Butlins customer a genuinely fresh and new alternative to their existing catering options.
“A big part of Butlins’ attraction to the Soho offering is our unique USP of an extensive menu of freshly made, not factory manufactured, sandwiches, baguettes and paninis. They also like our self-service salad bar. We will work with them to develop the right Soho offer for children, with micro versions of popular Soho products.”
New premises has been acquired in Cheltenham for 2011 to provide a long-term central kitchen, warehouse and head office for the whole business.
