Free-from and vegan soup brand, Soupologie, is expanding its portfolio with the launch of three soups containing vitamin D.
‘Packed’ with protein and fibre, the new lentil & kale, turmeric noodle broth and pea & leek soups are low in fat and free from gluten or added sugar.
According to Soupologie, its new ‘sunshine soup’ range is enriched with a vegan source of vitamin D3, providing at least 50% of the recommended daily intake per serving.
“These three new products not only taste amazing but really do take the health benefits to a new level with the added benefits of the vitamin D,” said Amanda Argent, co-founder and head of new product development at Foodologie.
Argent continued: “It’s often known as the sunshine vitamin since we make it from exposure to the sun. As we’ve all been stuck indoors for rather a long time now, combined with it having been winter, our exposure to the sun has been more limited than ever. Vitamin D is essential for strong bones as it helps the body use calcium from the diet.”
With an RRP of £2.65 per 600g pot, the new range will roll out to retailers including Ocado, Planet Organic and Whole Foods from 22 March.
Last year, Soupologie launched two product ranges under a new sub-brand, Foodologie.
