Free-range egg producer St Ewe has announced the release of its new ambient liquid egg whites in the UK.
500ml bottles of St Ewe Super Egg Whites will launch into Morrisons stores nationwide on 5 July – reportedly making it the first supermarket to bring an ambient liquid egg white to market.
Featuring 100% pasteurised British free-range egg whites, the new product contains 11g of protein per 100ml, 0% fat and no cholesterol or gluten.
According to St Ewe, Super Egg Whites are highly bioavailable, meaning the human body can absorb the egg whites’ nutrients much more easily than many other forms of protein.
The product is described as a highly versatile ingredient, suitable for egg white omelettes and frittatas to puddings such as chocolate mousse and pavlova. The egg white can also serve as a nutritious thickening agent in smoothies and can be swapped with protein powder in shakes for maximum protein absorption.
Super Egg Whites will be available to purchase from Morrisons for an RRP of £2.50 per 500ml bottle, while alternative sizes can be bought from St Ewe’s online store.
