Independent craft drinks maker, St. Peter’s Spirits, has announced the debut of Green Monké – a UK sparkling green cannabis-infused drink – in California, and in Canada this July.
Following its astronomic success – with over 1 million units sold in 2019 – St. Peter’s Spirits enlisted UK Beverage Services and Beverage Partners International to bring Green Monkey to Canada and partnered with California-based infusion technology company, Vertosa, to develop a hybrid emulsion that benefits North American consumers.
Green Monké is a sparkling green 2:1 CBD/THC social tonic with a quick 15-minute onset and only 25 calories per can.
St. Peter’s Spirits is launching Green Monké in North America to make it easier for experienced and cannabis-curious consumers to partake in all drinking occasions without alcohol or caffeinated energy drinks.
“Green Monkey sold 1 million cans in the UK in 2019 and we understood why the moment we tasted it. We knew that Green Monkey was destined for North America and enlisted British industry veterans, UK Beverage Services, and Beverage Partners International to bring Green Monkey to the US and Canada, where it has been transformed into Green Monké – a low-dose cannabis drink with a 2:1 CBD/THC emulsion,” said Jen Lockwood, St. Peter’s Spirits’ chief marketing officer.
The Green Monké brand mission is to make consumers feel good and smile at every touchpoint with a clever identity and comedic content to complement its distinctive product. Creative director, Maryan Zaluskiy, designed the Green Monké can with a simple white canvas that casts a spotlight on the brand’s cannabis-green emblem and produced the website with witty live elements that bring unexpected value to its consumers.
Green Monké makes it easier for consumers looking for alcohol alternatives to partake in cocktail hour festivities with a social tonic that balances the effects of THC and CBD perfectly. It’s the first and only cannabis drink in Canada to offer a 2:1 CBD/THC microencapsulation emulsion with fast-release technology so consumers feel high faster – as quickly as they feel the effects of alcohol, within approximately 15 minutes of consumption.
Portion of Green Monké sales benefit mental health organisations
Green Monké is passionate about community and provides a social buzz without any negative effects like anxiety or paranoia. St. Peters Spirits is donating 1% of gross profits of Green Monké sales proceeds to mental health organisations across Canada that aim to combat loneliness and social isolation.
Green Monké is now available for purchase at independent retailers in California, and will become available across Canada in summer 2021.
