Start-up company unveils eco-friendly coffee bags

Californian start-up company Steeped Coffee has launched coffee in compostable single-serve bags to provide a convenient and sustainable product.

Each Steeped Coffee bag contains pre-ground, hand-roasted and ethically sourced Direct Trade coffee. The bags are nitro-sealed for freshness inside packaging that’s made using compostable and renewable materials.

The brewing method is much like tea and does not require machines or plastic pods. Steeped Coffee claims its method results in a single serving of convenient and quality coffee all within guilt-free packaging.

The line-up offers consumers a variety of caffeinated blends, including light, medium, dark, French and decaf.

Stepped Coffee provides a variety of kits and subscriptions on its website, as well as recommendations for recipes incorporating its product such as Iced Coffee, Cinnamon Whisky Coffee Cocktail and Hot White Russian.

The start-up company said it is committed to premium coffee, convenience, and environmental stewardship in equal measure.
