The Ferrero Group to acquire protein bar maker Fulfil Nutrition

The Ferrero Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Irish protein bar producer, Fulfil Nutrition, for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Dublin, Fulfil manufactures low-sugar protein bars that are “packed” with vitamins.

Confectionery giant Ferrero will take over the brand’s portfolio and plans to retain the management, distributors and employees. 

The move expands Ferrero’s presence in the better-for-you market, as it looks to meet the evolving needs of consumers. Meanwhile, the company says that it will support Fulfil with innovation and expansion into new markets and categories.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the next few months.
