Plant-based protein company The Meatless Farm Co has unveiled two meat-free breakfast sausage varieties for the US market.
Meatless Farm’s Meat Free Breakfast Sausages and Meat Free Sausage Patties are soy-free, gluten-free, and made from non-GMO ingredients.
Providing a ‘better-for-you’ source of protein, with 17g+ per serving, the brand’s latest innovations also contain only 280 calories in a helping.
Meatless Farm was established in 2018 in the UK, where it is one of the fastest growing meat alternatives brands.
Earlier this year, the company joined forces with meal kit provider Gousto to bring more meat-free meals to UK consumers. As part of the partnership, Meatless Farm’s plant-based mince and sausages are being introduced to specific dishes on Gousto’s menu.
Commenting on the brand’s latest US launch, Meatless Farm’s general manager for North America, Kasper Vesth, said: “Over the years, we have seen plenty of innovation within the plant-based protein space, but breakfast meats have remained relatively untouched.
“After years of R&D, we are excited to show people how easy – and delicious – it can be to add a perfect plant-based protein to their meatless mornings.
“As we continue to grow in the US market, it is important for us to ensure we’re meeting the unique needs of American consumers by making it easy to incorporate more plant-based options into their daily routines, whether it’s for their health or for the health of the environment.”
Meatless Farm’s Meat Free Breakfast Sausages and Sausage Patties are available from Whole Foods Markets nationwide, with additional retailers and foodservice partners to follow.
