Two Farmers, a new UK-based crisp brand, aims to redefine the snack sector with the launch of its artisan range of crisps in 100% compostable packaging.
The brand is the brainchild of Herefordshire potato farmers and friends Mark Green and Sean Mason, who decided to develop their own range of hand-cooked crisps that celebrates local ingredients whilst causing minimal impact to the environment, with a 100% compostable packet.
Mason said: “As farmers living and working in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside we have seen firsthand the impact plastic waste can have on the environment. We are also crisp lovers and our greatest challenge has been to make great-tasting crisps and find a way to bring them to market without compromising on our principles.

“We have also been keen to source as many of the ingredients from our own farm as we can, or from local suppliers. Even the salt we use in our lightly salted variety is sourced from neighbouring Worcestershire, where Droitwich Salt harvest their natural salt springs using renewable energy.”
Two Farmers will launch its range of crisps this October with four flavours: Hereford bullshot; salt and Two Farmers cider vinegar, lightly salted, and Hereford hop cheese and onion.
The founders have high aspirations for their challenger brand and with public sentiment embracing the reduction of plastic in everyday uses, they hope to provide a sustainable crisp packet option that consumers will welcome.
The crisps are available wholesale in a 24x40g and 12x150g box, as well as a 300g sharing tin.
