US cheese firm Sargento Foods debuts Reserve Series Slices

Sargento Foods has expanded its Reserve Series product line with the introduction of a range of cheese slices.

Reserve Series Slices are available in three flavours: Sliced Fresh Asiago Natural Cheese, described as ‘softer, slightly sweet and nutty’; Sliced Aged Gouda Natural Cheese, aged for several months and delivering a ‘buttery, nutty’ flavour; and Sliced Aged White Natural Cheddar Cheese, with a ‘rich, sharp gourmet flavour’.

The firm says that the conveniently pre-sliced cheese can be used to ‘elevate’ everyday meals, such as sandwiches and burgers.

Headquartered in Wisconsin, Sargento Foods manufactures a range of shredded, sliced and snack cheese products, as well as ingredients and sauces.

Last year, the firm released a range of snack pots combining cheese with dried fruit, cereal cluster, and seed mixes.

“We’ve found that consumers love gourmet cheeses and the convenience of slices, so we’re bringing the best of both worlds together to elevate their everyday meals in a convenient new form,” said John Stanwood, senior marketing manager at Sargento Foods.

“With the launch of Reserve Series Slices, adding delicious speciality cheeses to your sandwiches and burgers has never been easier. Anyone can create their favourite dishes and enjoy the gourmet flavour profiles.”

Sargento’s new Reserve Series Slices are available from retailers nationwide in the US.
