Whittard of Chelsea unveils two dessert-inspired hot chocolates

Whittard of Chelsea has unveiled two limited-edition hot chocolate flavours, which will be released in the UK in early 2020.

The new Rhubarb & Custard and Banoffee Pie flavoured hot chocolates join the brand’s other creative hot chocolate flavours such as Sticky Toffee Pudding and Raspberry Ripple, in a range inspired by classic desserts and confectionery.

Rhubarb and Custard will be released in January as part of the brand’s Valentine’s Day campaign, and Whittard of Chelsea claims that the flavour blends the rhubarb and custard with white chocolate flavours to create a pink drink.

Meanwhile, the Banoffee Pie flavour will go on sale at the end of February to mark the beginning of the brand’s Easter campaign. According to the brand, this white hot chocolate features banana and toffee flavours.

Harvinder Woodcock, Whittard of Chelsea’s Senior Buyer for flavoured drinks, coffee and confectionery, said: “It’s hot chocolate – but not as you know it! Rhubarb & Custard and Banoffee Pie may be familiar in the dessert world but with a classic hot chocolate base and a touch of innovation, you have two deliciously daring inventions.”

Both flavours will be available in 350g packs.
