The judging panel for the World Food Innovation Awards 2022, in association with IFE, International Food & Drink Event, has now been announced.
This year’s panel includes recognised and reputable names from across the global food industry and between them, they will be responsible for deciding the winners of the World Food Innovation Awards, taking place in March 2022.
There are 25 trophies to be won in total, and being shortlisted provides a hallmark of success that will prevail long after the awards draw to a close. To find out more information, including how to enter, click here.

Chloe Anderson Food Science & Product Manager, JourneyFoods
Chloe Anderson is an international food scientist and product manager, driven by solving complex food issues. She empowers food companies with tools to deliver consumer focused products and experiences.
Food scientist by training, problem-solver and team player by character. Chloe has co-created 15+ food innovation projects for local and international food companies. At 22, she started her first food company after receiving the 2015 food innovation award at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
Chloe is currently supporting a team of engineers and data scientists to develop a recommendation tool for food innovation teams.

Louis Bedwell Co-founder & Head of Operations, Mission Ventures

Stefania Pérez Beltrán, a gastronomy and marketing expert, works and lives in Bogotá, Colombia. She’s passionate about food innovation, culture, consumers and the food industry environment.
Stefania attended Universidad de La Sabana in Bogotá for her professional Gastronomy degree, and also attended the CESA/ESIC Business School in Madrid, Spain for her Marketing master’s degree.
During her professional career, she worked with the largest dairy company in Colombia (Alpina) in R&D and Marketing & Innovation areas, understanding consumer needs and creating the best product alternatives. Stefania developed and designed the innovation and product process for the largest Fast Food chain in Colombia (Corral-Grupo Nutresa). Today, she is working with the Alianza Team working as New Categories Manager.

Adrian Boswell Fresh Food Buyer, Selfridges
Adrian Boswell, a fishmonger by trade, has held down roles as a Retail Admin Assistant, Allocator, and Merchandiser before moving into the world of Buying.
Prior to his current role as a Senior Food Buyer, Adrian worked his way up through the ranks as a Buyers Admin and Assistant Buyer. Here he has spent the last 20 years gaining experience in premium fresh food retail.
Adrian has extensive knowledge of the different food areas, including cheese, deli, fresh fish, smoked fish, caviar, truffle, meat & poultry, F&V and more recently Health & Wellbeing.

Silvia D’Alesio Brand Strategy and Packaging Design Professor, NABA
Silvia has a BSc degree in Food Science and Technology, to operate in the sector of production and distribution of food and drinks, working on the constant improvement of products. She graduated in Food Innovation and Product Design with a second level international MSc degree.
Silvia is a product R&D engineer with years of experience in the agro-food and packaging design sector. She’s currently a brand strategy and packaging design professor in NABA – Milan, having previously worked with Seeds&Chips, the food innovation global summit, building awareness about the importance of implementing innovation in the food supply chain.
Silvia has been a part of numerous judging panels that included new proposals for food business, products, sustainability, material and technologies for packaging design. She is a keen observer of new ideas from across the packaging and food value chain, learning insights on major sustainability topics.

Marc Matsumoto is a chef and food & beverage consultant based in Tokyo, Japan. Working at the intersection of food, media, and marketing, he leverages his experience and network to help global F&B brands enter the Japanese market while working with Japanese F&B brands to reach product-market fit abroad.
When he’s not developing new opportunities for his clients, Marc hosts Bento Expo on NHK World, introducing the world to the delightful art of Japanese bento box lunches. Morgan Oliveira is the founder and principal of Grounded, Etc., a consultancy specialising in helping food & health tech startups in a number of ways, including business development, communications, strategy, and more. She has worked with some of the world’s leading brands, including TiNDLE, Apeel Sciences, sweetgreen, Calm.com, amongst others.
Prior to Grounded, Morgan was the first employee and Director of Communications at Hampton Creek (now Eat JUST), a food technology company that is currently valued at over $1B. It was here that Morgan worked to spread the company’s story and mission to the press and public, and was the driver behind the press during the Unilever lawsuit and the famed “Mayo Wars” of 2014. She was named in the Business Insider list of Top 50 Best PR People in the Tech Industry for 2014.
Morgan comes from a background in food, having worked at one of the first meal delivery companies, a startup in Los Angeles, where she helped it quadruple its business in only a year’s time. Mieke Roux Food Technologist, Veggie Crisp
Mieke completed her BSc Consumer Science degree at the North West University in 2016, whereafter she obtained her Honours in Consumer Science through UNISA in 2017. She is currently working as a Food Technologist in the snacks industry in the beautiful Franschhoek valley, where she manages all technical aspects of the production facility, from procurement to dispatch.
Mieke’s main interest is new product development, but she has extensive experience in food safety and quality systems, among other things. She loves working in the food industry and is excited about all the upcoming developments in the field.
