UK dairy company Yeo Valley has partnered with The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to release a limited-edition blackcurrant yogurt that celebrates organic farming.
Yeo Valley’s British blackcurrant yogurt aims to celebrate the brand’s first organic garden at this years RHS Chelsea Flower show, postponed to 21-26 September.
Eat yogurt pot has been inspired by the best of British produce and specially selected blackcurrants. The new offering combines 100% British organic milk with British organic blackcurrants, sourced exclusively from a family-run blackcurrant farm in Herefordshire.
The blackcurrant variety is the latest addition to Yeo Valley’s yogurt selection that includes black cherry, rhubarb, blueberry and lemon curd flavours.
Sarah Mead, head of gardening at Yeo Valley Organic and creator of the organic garden, said: “The launch of our British Blackcurrant yogurt is a celebration of organic farming, and we can’t wait for people to try it.
“We’re bringing a slice of our Somerset organic garden to the first autumn edition of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this September, and this special hedgerow-inspired limited edition seems a fitting way to kick things off.”
Yeo Valley Organic RHS Limited Edition British Blackcurrant yogurt is available from Waitrose and Sainsbury’s stores nationwide for an RRP of £1.70.
At the end of last year, Yeo Valley launched a duo of sweet crème fraiche varieties as a healthier alternative to double cream.
