Z Natural Foods has released a new ‘superfood’ powder which blends eight different types of berry.
The company says that Organic Freeze-Dried Super 8 Berry Blend is vegan, free from soy and gluten, and does not contain added preservatives or sugar.
Freeze-dried and powdered to preserve their nutrient content, the organic berries featured in the blend are: acerola cherries (unripe), goji berry, acai berry, maqui berry, blackberry, strawberry, red raspberry and blueberry.
According to Z Natural Foods, specific berries in the blend are associated with different benefits, including boosting immune health and anti-ageing properties.
The concentrated mix of freeze-dried berry powders is said to contain antioxidants, phytochemicals and other nutrients.
Pattanaphol Tharitimanont, director of new product research and development for Z Natural Foods, said: “The naturally sweet, sour, and delightfully tart flavour makes you feel like you are eating real fresh berries.”
Tharitimanont added: “Our customers love this blend because of the amazing taste, high nutrition, and versatility.
“They tell us they enjoy it as a refreshing iced berry juice, adding it to favourite recipes, sprinkled on yogurt, and for improving the taste and nutrition of smoothies.”
Z Natural Foods’ latest ‘superfood’ powder comes in an air-locked, resealable, stand up foil pouch and can reportedly be safely stored for two years in a refrigerator or freezer.
Earlier this year, Z Natural Foods added Ultimate 25 Superfood Fusion to its line of organic powders, as it aimed to provide the most powerful superfoods in one serving.
