Better-for-you snack company, Simple Mills, is expanding its portfolio with the introduction of Sweet Thins.
The company’s new cookies are made using a seed and nut flour blend that features watermelon seed, cashew, sunflower seed and flax seed.
Sweetened with coconut sugar, Sweet Thins are gluten-free and paleo-friendly, and come in three flavours: mint chocolate, chocolate brownie and honey cinnamon. The new offerings are said to feature ingredients that help advance regenerative agriculture.
“Sweet Thins is one of our most exciting new products to date and one that we’ve been developing and testing for over two years,” said Katlin Smith, founder and CEO of Simple Mills.
“When we grow food in environmentally sustainable ways, we can be a driving force in addressing climate change. I see Simple Mills being a change agent in the food industry, and we’re excited about the role Sweet Thins plays in our larger mission to use agriculture as a tool to heal the planet.”
Simple Mills claims that its latest innovation marks the introduction of watermelon seed flour to the cookie category. Watermelon seed flour is a source of protein, ‘good fats’ and micronutrients, and also helps to create Sweet Thins’ light and crispy texture.
With an MSRP of $4.99 per box, Sweet Thins are available at retailers including Whole Foods Market, as well as via Amazon and the brand’s website.
